Why Alaska Sucks.

By Dr. Bombay

ADVERTISEMENTS

Unlimited power is apt to corrupt the minds of those who posses it; and this I know, my lords: that where laws end, tyranny begins. — William Pitt

Looks like the citizens of Alaska, ever fearful of having the federal teat torn from their greedy lips, have decided to return convicted felon Ted Stevens to office, pending the delivery of the final set of ballots (presumably by malamute). Perhaps he can split his return charter flight to Washington with Don ?you don?t understand Alaska? Young, who spent most of his campaign war chest defending himself from the FBI probe which snared Stevens.

If the people of Alaska have so little respect for the institutions of government of these United States as to send convicted felons and those under Federal investigation to represent them, I hope Congress and the Senate will return the favor. The leadership should move to strip them of their committee assignments and let him sit it out. Since Alaska has seen fit to provide Congress with fake representatives, I hope Congress will return the favor.
