Social Media: Here are four ways a physician practice can use social media to improve patient care. You'll note that none of these involve the physician practice communicating directly with patients or using PHI in any way. As long as you avoid the potential HIPAA pitfalls, social media should be as much a part of a practice's marketing and communications efforts as it is for other industries.
