Xiadafil VIP Lawsuit
Recalled due to Undeclared Ingredient
FDA Asking for Recall of Xiadafil VIP TabletsThe U.S. Food and Drug Administration is asking for the recall of Xiadafil VIP Tablets sold in bottles of 8 tablets or blister cards of 2 tablets, Lot #6K029 and Lot# 6K029-SEI, respectively. The product, marketed as a dietary supplement to treat erectile dysfunction (ED), contains a potentially harmful, undeclared ingredient called hydroxyhomosildenafil, an analog of sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra. Hydroxyhomosildenafil may dangerously affect a person's blood pressure and may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs and can lower blood pressure to life-threatening levels. Consumers with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or heart disease often take nitrates.
